After many years of debate and uncertainty, technical inspections for motorized two-wheeles will finally be introduced in France starting from April 2024. It is an article from the latest decree published in October 2023 that provides for the gradual implementation of this new regulation concerning motorcycles and scooters. The technical inspection of motorized two-wheelers will take place in authorized centers, by appointment. Motorcycle and scooter owners will need to present several documents in order to carry out the inspection:
- The vehicle registration certificate
- The registration certificate

- A proof of address

- Identification: verification of serial and registration numbers.
- Compliance with environmental standards: measurement of pollutant emissions and noise levels.
